Lynn from LKS Design tagged me last night. Funny because I was just thinking how I felt a little left out of the tagging going around the home & design blogosphere lately! So thanks Lynn :)

Rules of the game: Each player starts with 7 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to then report this on their own blog with their 7 things as well as these rules. They then need to tag 7 others and list their names on their blog. They are also asked to leave a comment for each of the tagged, letting them know they have been tagged and to read the blog.

My 7 random facts/habits-

1. I used to be a performing singer songwriter. I performed all around the east coast for about 6 years until I burned out and haven’t touched my guitar since I played on my wedding night!

2. My full name at birth was Ariana Gabrielle Sai Ram Daner because my parents were total hindu-loving hippies. I actually grew up on a commune part time when I was little. I made them legally drop the Sai Ram when I was 13 and now I kind of wish I didn’t.

3. I was conceived in Afghanistan because my parents were globe trotting hippies (see #2 ) and Ariana is in fact the ancient name of Afghanistan.

4. I was once in a print ad for a body/care and homeopathic medicine company that I worked for called Weleda. The ad copy said “Girl at beach enjoying her Citrus Body Lotion.” They had so many complaints that they called me “girl” and not “woman” that they had to pull the ad. I was only 13 at the time.

5. My mom and I run a small indie jewelry company called Charmed & Dangerous. I also help my parents out with their other business Hookmarks.

6. I used to study astrology and wanted to be an astrologer before I discovered songwriting decided I wanted to be a musician (see #1).

7. I’m fasicnated by other people’s lives and stories. I’ve never seen a documentary that I didn’t like and I LOVE radio essay/interview programs like This American Life and Fresh Air. I guess thats maybe why I like blogging and reading other people’s blogs too!
