Melamine plates, not just for dining anymore..

Thomas Paul Tray

Thomas Paul Melamine Plates

I knew I loved the design of this Thomas Paul melamine tray and  gothic plate set the second I saw them for the first time at Elsewares.  But to be perfectly honest, I’m not the biggest melamine fan.  I mean unless your hosting BBQs on a daily basis, how many plastic plates can you have an excuse to own, no matter how cute and colorful they are?

So I was pleasantly suprised to open In Style Home this month and find these very pieces hung on the wall of their Black and White Budoir Bathroom makeover (pg. 70) – and it looked fabulous!

It’s practical too because the cute design gets alot more exposure on a wall than say under a hamburger.. plus you can’t tell its plastic until you actually feel it, which is a lot less likely when its hanging on a wall than if someone is eating off of it.

Now I wonder what’s the best method to hang them..
